Top 4 things Ceredigion tenants want from their home

What are the top 4 things that Ceredigion tenants want from their next home? Covid 19 has changed so much. It’s changed the way we communicate, the way we socialise, the way we work and the way we live. It is amazing how things have changed so much including priorities of what we want in life.

Over the past two years, we have seen a change in buyers and tenants demands in what they want in their next home. A recent survey from DataLoft discovered how buyers and tenants are very similar.

68% said AFFORDABILITY
67% said a GARDEN
63% said BROADBAND SPEED
61% (no surprise) said A SPACE TO WORK FROM HOME was very important.

1) Affordability
With the property market being so hot right now, the housing stock has dropped dramatically, yet the number of people looking to move has doubled. The popularity has caused prices to sky rocket making it harder for first time buyers / renters to get on the property ladder, so it is understandable why affordability came out on top. Buyers want to be able to buy a property that is within their budget and tenants want to feel confident that they can be able to pay their rent.

2) A garden (or some outside space)
After being in lockdown, I think we were all grateful for any outside space we had in our property. However outside space is something many homes are lacking, especially in flats. If you are thinking of investing in a property, it might be worth considering homes which may have an outside space or courtyard,

3) Broadband speed
We are all guilty of it, we spend too much time on the internet! In the age we live in, the internet is everywhere, it is on our phones, in restaurants, and coffee shops - we have become more reliant on the internet to communicate both for work and family and friends. Families use the internet to FaceTime, and to use Netflix, teenagers want it so that they can game and watch Smart TV and with more people having to work from home, the internet is a high demand so that they can work efficiently.

4) Space to work from home
We have all experienced working from home in the last year or so, this is not just a tenant demand, more buyers are now looking for extra space or another room where they can work from home.
