How to make it a November to remember in Ceredigion

Christmas is round the corner, the clocks have gone back, here are our tips to make this a November to remember!

Bonfire Night
The Aberystwyth Roundtable is happy to welcome back the Aberystwyth Fireworks Display.
After a year out, this year promises to be their best display yet, and they will be including a pyrotechnics fire display. Join them at Aberystwyth Rugby club from 5:00pm to enjoy food/drink and more prior to their display starting at 7:30pm.

You can buy your tickets here.

Movember
Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide. What ever you grow, you will save a bro! Get involved and grow a moustache!

Christmas Shopping Lists
Yes, we have said the C word. We are just so excited for Christmas this year! Why not set yourself a challenge this year to see what you can buy from local shops in Ceredigion? Keep an eye out on how we shall be helping our local businesses in our December Facebook Advent Calendar.

Go Outside
Bundle up and enjoy a scenic hike on a local trail. Breathe in the crisp, fall-almost-winter air and enjoy any last remnants of the changing leaves.

Have a Cosy Wine and Cheese Night
If the promise of red wine and baked brie doesn't entice you, we don't know what to tell you. Instead of braving the cold, stay in to eat, drink, and hang out to your heart's content.

Family Movie Nights
With the weather getting chillier and the evenings getting darker it is the perfect excuse to get cosy and watch movies! Make sure you have plenty of cinema style snacks like popcorn and sweets. Why not ask some of our local businesses for some snacks? Sweet Yourself UK deliver sweet boxes to your door and prices start from just £8.

Roast Marshmallows
Whether you're warm and toasty by the fireplace inside or bundled up near a firepit in the backyard, your kids will love roasting their own marshmallows and making s'mores as a special November treat.

Whatever you do, have fun, and say safe.

April is a good time for buyers to focus on readiness rather than guesswork. In a market where choice has improved but confidence remains mixed, being organised can make all the difference when the right home comes along.

More homes are competing for buyer attention, so sellers need more than a hopeful asking price. A smart launch, realistic valuation and strong presentation can help attract serious interest.

Buying a home can feel easier when you know your budget, priorities and next steps. With mortgage costs still influencing decisions, preparation is one of the biggest advantages buyers have.

April is the final window for landlords in England to prepare for the first phase of the Renters’ Rights Act. With the new tenancy regime starting on 1 May 2026, now is the time to review paperwork, processes and whether self-management still feels realistic.
