Be part of our 24 Days of Christmas Giveaways!

For the last three years we have collaborated with local businesses around Ceredigion to get everyone feeling a bit more connected to their town and the people in it! We are going to be doing it all over again this year - a bit different with new safety measures but with the same amount of love and support to our town!

From our first live video on Facebook the 1st December 2017, as Layla stood nervously in Newmans Garden Centres' Christmas wonderland, and Rhian began filming free hand - shaking all over the place, we didn't realise the massive impact giveaways would be. With one video reaching over 50 thousand people and being shared to people in Scotland it was a fantastic achievement!

Over the years we have laughed, cried and jumped up and down with joy for our winners. The campaign became such a success, we have seen other businesses to do the same with their own twist.

Snapshots from previous years...

This year we shall be doing it all over again, a little different than usual but again, with the positive and encouragement of our community. It is amazing to think we started the giveaways with just 12 local businesses, three years later we have expanded to 24! 24 days of Layla's face on your screen.... are you ready for it again?

In this uncertain time where all our actions and everything around us revolves around a virus which is causing severe illness and even death, we have had to reconsider our lives, making drastic changes to how we live and work; it has been hard for even the most optimistic among us to continue to stay positive.

This campaign we hope, will bring excitement, happiness and something different to your news feeds on Facebook other than doom and gloom.

Here is a snapshot from a few years ago with the local business Skin Deep.

Collaborating with local businesses and raising brand awareness for both Alexanders and Skin Deep and all it cost was our time.

35,974 people reached = 35,947 people know about these two businesses.

We have 24 businesses that need your support. Like, share and tell your friends about them! Lets keep our community positive and our local businesses standing.

A strong town needs strong local businesses.
Local businesses provide jobs and opportunities for wealth creation.
They can become encouraging and bring visitors from outside our community, as well as a way for community members to support each other by buying local.

Thank you for your continued support over the 3 years.
See you on December the 1st!

Take care and support local.

The Alexanders Team.

Rental demand remains resilient in early 2026, but growth has moderated. For landlords, spring is less about reacting and more about refining strategy.

As we move through May 2026, buyers are seeing more homes come to market, but affordability still matters. Here is what today’s mix of greater choice, steady demand and higher mortgage costs means if you are planning a move.

April is the final window for landlords in England to prepare for the first phase of the Renters’ Rights Act. With the new tenancy regime starting on 1 May 2026, now is the time to review paperwork, processes and whether self-management still feels realistic.

For tenants, April is a useful point to pause and plan. With rents still rising across the UK and the first phase of rental reform approaching in England, this is a good time to review your budget, renewal options and next move.
